A friend of mine has just signed up on a website called myfreeimplants.com where guys contribute money & donations for girls to get breast implants that they wanted. My friend wanted to know which were better, silicone or saline & which has less complications. Also which procedure of surgery is better? They have the options of going through the navel, under the armpit, the breast, nipple, & over the muscle & under the muscle. She cant afford a consultation w/ a doctor yet so just wondering from people that knew or based on experience...thanks!!

I believe saline over the muscle is the best. Thats what mine are and I couldnt be happier with the results. The saline is not toxic. Over the muscle is the way to go because if it were under the muscle, it can break easier if you happen to get a muscle spasm (usually from heavy lifting). There are lots of options on how they insert the implants. Some surgeons only have one way. For mine, they made an incision under my boob and six months later, i can barely see the scars. Most importantly, make sure your surgeon is legit with good credentials and not a butcher. A good surgeon helps you decide what size is right for your proportions. Dont be afraid to ask him/her questions. Good luck!

Has anyone had breast augmentation?
I am getting breast implants within the next couple of months and would like to to speak to someone who has had the surgery. Do you still like them? Have you had any complications? I am getting the saline implants and the surgeons are putting them in through the armpits. If you\'ve had the surgery, do you have any advice? Thanks!

Hey I had them done and absolutely love them! I have no regrets at all. I actually have silicone and not saline. Mine is under the muscle. I have a tiny frame so i wanted mine to look very natural so i didnt go huge or anything like that. The pain isnt as bad as you would think. I had mine done on a thursday and was back at work the next monday. I think the few weeks after having it done are way worse. Bc you have to massage them and do all of that and they are very sore to the touch. Just make sure that for at least the 3 to 4 days after your surgery that you have someone with you at all times to help you out w/ anything that you need. You wont be able to sit up on your own the first day and you will want someone that can bring you a drink and all of that. I had to have my boyfriend help me shower the next day bc i was light headed and didnt want to fall. Just make sure that you are happy w/ the size before the surgery bc I know a lot of people that wish they would have went bigger after all was said and done. Good luck!

if saline implant ruptures what are the complications ?

I have breast Implants. I got them in October 2003.?
Should I replace them with new implants? And if one ruptures what are the complications they are saline? Will it harm me if they rupture? And will it cost less to replace or am I going to have to pay for them all over again?

Answer :
I believe implants should be replaced after 10 years, unless you\'re experiancing problems. If you\'re feeling fine, and they still look good to you, thre is no reason for you to have them redone. Saline is safer than silicone, but if there is a rupture you should probably get the shell of the impant taken out.
I also think that if you\'re replacing them, or getting them redone that would be another surgery, which yes you would probably have to pay for.
